Hindu Rameshwaram Temple

This temple is located in the northernmost point of the country where it can be reached by car. The visitor is impressed by the great figures at the entrance to the site. Immediately, you feel the peace of the place and the refreshing breeze, like air conditioning against what can be an inclement sun. This site feels like a piece of India in Suriname. The temple does an enormous job of preventing the sea from swallowing it up. We imagine that it must be difficult to maintain such a site, so sometimes there can be garbage scattered in some parts. However, this is not an impediment to appreciate the beauty of this site and the importance it has for the Hindu community. We love this place and even though there is no beach, it is a beautiful opportunity for the sea to touch your feet sitting from the edge of the temple. This is a site that we visit regularly.
